Web3: The Future of the Internet

The only thing that is constant is the change. The internet has come a long way since its inception. Internet is a constantly evolving stuff. From static web pages to dynamic web applications, the internet has evolved to become an integral part of our daily lives. However, with the rise of big tech companies and concerns over privacy and security, there is a growing need for a more decentralized and transparent internet. This is where Web3 comes in.

 



Web1.0: During the early phase of internet, it was a one way communication between user and the internet. The web pages were static and read-only. The user was only able to consume the content that was presented on the internet and could neither interact with webpages nor contribute to the content.

 

Web 2.0: It was during the early 2004, the internet got changed and users were able to interact with the webpage and provide the content, like login, signup, sharing our thoughts, commenting on posts, etc. Web 2.0 is the currenly era of internet, its been there from 2004 till date. We have seen emerge of many of the dynamic websites like gmail, orkut, ebay, facebook, instagram, youtube, github and many more. The most important part of web2.0 is the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), including mass participation.

What is Web3 ?

Web3 is the third generation of the internet, also known as the decentralized web. It is a vision for a more open, secure, and privacy-centric internet that is built on block chain technology. How does Web3 work?
